‘Objects’ emerges as a meeting ground between digital processes and traditional techniques, where experimentation with materials coexists with craft-based methods. Starting with 3D-modelled pieces, handcrafted plaster moulds are developed, which subsequently enable work using slip-casting techniques, incorporating in some cases elements of hand-modelling or carving.
This section brings together objects that start from recognisable functions [containers, kitchenware or everyday objects] but which move away from their conventional forms to explore new relationships between utility, material and perception. Each piece strikes a balance between technical precision and manual craftsmanship, keeping visible the traces of the various processes [digital and analogue] involved in its creation.
White clay has been one of the central materials in this practice due to its versatility and ability to capture details, textures, and variations in surface and colour reflectance in glaze.
