‘Que Alguien Llame a Alguien’ [‘Someone Call Someone’] is a project that revisits the processes of creation in contemporary art, challenging the idea of art that emerges from an autonomous and private space.

The work unfolds across a diverse range of pieces and formats that do not represent an idea in themselves, but rather embody it: that of bonds as form, of interdependence as a condition, of a tribe supporting one another. There are no individual authorships or autonomous objects. The pieces took shape through collaborative gestures, materials in transit and conversations that wove a complex and, often, delirious affective territory.

This exhibition-installation is the result of a group experiment. Over a weekend, twelve artists [but above all friends] from different disciplines inhabited the gallery as a laboratory-space, exploring the concept of interdependence in real time.

The process extended beyond those two days. Weeks of preparatory meetings enabled us to establish methodologies, working codes, construction strategies and group dynamics aimed at approaching creation through interrelation. An attempt to challenge traditional authorial models and put non-hierarchical forms of organisation into practice. Is it possible to sustain horizontal decision-making? What does it really mean to create collectively? How can we operate without the individual either imposing itself or disappearing?

Returning to Donna Haraway, we understand that the task is not to imagine heroic futures, but to engage with the entangled present. The installation thus becomes a cartography of these entanglements: a space where connections, gestures and materials do not respond to a logic of resolution, but to a situated, provisional and necessarily unstable practice.
